I’m going to introduce the Byodoin ho-oh-doh, which is synonymous with Uji City.

This temple is chosen as the design of 10-yen coin and the Chinese Phoenix on the roof is chosen as the design of 10,000-yen.

The formal name of this superb building is Amida-do Hall.
It was built in 1053 by the Yorimichi Fujiwara.

Byodoin is registered as the world heritage and  There are some beautiful Buddhist statues in the building.

In addition, there are souvenir shops and coffee shops in the building where you can enjoy matcha.

You can enjoy cherry blossoms and wisteria in spring and autumn leaves in autumn.
